Prescription Renewals
We have updated our prescription renewal process to make it easier for our patients. It is now a ONE step process. Simply call your pharmacy and advise them you need a medication renewal. They will contact us with all the information we need to processes it for you. If you have left your renewal to the last minute, your local pharmacist may be able to give you an advancement on your regular prescription.

Advanced Access
Our clinic makes an effort to offer our patients same day appointment bookings if needed. These advanced access appointments are available for any episodic and minor ailments. We encourage you to check with our clinic to inquire about these same day appointments if a hospital emergency visit is not necessary. Contact our clinic and we will advise you if you can book one of these appointments or if an emergency department visit is necessary.

Cancellation Policy
The East End Family Health Team clinic has a strong cancellation policy as we need at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations due to high appointment demand. If you are calling the clinic after phone answering hours, you can call our direct message line at 705-235-6911 and leave a message to notify us of your cancellation.

Health Card Renewal
Ensure that you have your health card when you arrive for your appointment. Before arriving to your appointment ensure that your health card is up to date and to notify us of any changes to your health card information. If you need to renew or update your health card you can visit your local Service Ontario or online to do so.

How to Become a Patient
To make your search for a family health care provider a little bit easier the Government of Ontario has created Health Care Connect. If you are currently without a health care provider you can register by calling the toll free number 1-800-445-1822.

Services for Northern College Students
The East End Family Health Team offers weekly medical clinics by appointment only for Northern College Students. You need to be a registered Northern College student who does not have a doctor in the Cochrane district area or an International student studying at Northern College.   You will need your Northern College student identification card or have an Ontario or out of province health card.   International students will need to show their insurance card that is provided by the college.
